The Adventures
Viclarium was located in the eastern desert; it was the city of King Xalazar, who was a second cousin of King Aldric III, and it was the city of the desert men. Compared to the other cities of men, the city was quite humble in its early days and went unnoticed by the other kingdoms for many years. Always in an inferior financial situation, it became a refuge for thieves, mercenaries, and the like. But fortune changed when one of the miners discovered an almost inexhaustible reservoir of precious stones, mainly gold and diamonds, in the desert mines. This fact turned the tide in favor of King Xalazar, who began to receive the support of other nations, but in exchange for this support, of course, these nations would have some kind of profit.
The King of the Desert proved himself a skilled administrator. In times of peace, each kingdom, whether of Elves, Men, Dwarves, or Orcs, interacted amicably and maintained trade with one another, but otherwise each species lived in its own kingdom with its own kind. Xalazar proved intelligent in this regard. With the desert city prospering due to the mines, he began to accept and hire workers of any kind, not caring much about their nature, but rather about their skill.
Viclarium became a mixed city, with 1/3 populated by men, and the other half being dwarves and orcs, and a small number of elves. These dwarves and orcs, who were fugitives or exiles from their kingdoms for being criminals or fugitives, found in the desert city a new banner to follow and call home. An example of this fact is that after the dwarven civil war, the surviving and defeated dwarves of the north had nowhere to live because their city had been destroyed. Xalazar received them with open arms and made these dwarves swear loyalty to his banner in exchange for having a home again. These dwarves brought many benefits to the mines of Viclarium, because despite being criminals in their country of origin, they had knowledge of the dwarven art of mining. The King appointed and gave important positions to some dwarves and orcs, even making some of them his advisors; in return, they maintained closer contact with the workers and facilitated the king's acceptance.
Unfortunately, when the rain of fire rocks came, the Continent of Agnar was severely punished. In most regions, small, scattered rocks fell, not causing much damage, but in the eastern region of the planet, the asteroid rain dealt its mortal blow, with an absurd amount of rocks falling, giving the event the name "rain of fire" due to the sheer number of rocks that fell continuously. Two of these rocks were gigantic, and their impact generated explosions, raising mushrooms of fire and smoke several kilometers high. One fell on Viclarium, annihilating the city, and the other fell on the cluster of dragon islands, killing everything within several kilometers of its radius, and releasing a toxic dust that became encrusted in the earth, killing and causing mutations to any living being that came into contact with the space dust.
