The rain of fire.

The year is 10 AD (after the Flaming Stone Storm). The continent of Agnar, struck by a rain of asteroids from Garnet, a rare crystal originating from the depths of the universe, saw its eastern region devastated. The flaming stones fell with fury, leaving a trail of destruction and death in their wake.

Of the beings that inhabited that portion of land, few survived the fury of the cosmos. The toxic dust, remnants of the asteroids, brought with it radiation that irreversibly affected the creatures of the east. New life forms emerged, in sinister hybrids and mutations previously nonexistent.
